Monsoon has been trading as a nightclub since November 2000. On it’s arrival the benchmark for nightclub entertainment was drastically moved. On a league of it’s own Monsoon plays host not only to top National and International DJ’s but acts and bands as well. The days of DJ entertainment are long gone and Monsoon lives by the philosophy that audio and visual entertainment should be the norm.

It’s all about entertaining our patrons; all our barmen for example are professional flair barmen and blow flames during the night just to heat things up a little.

During the night you’ll experience falling snow, bubbles experience a hurricane and water mist all while partying away to your favorite tunes. Lights and sound are second to none, from our powerful argon laser to the intelligent lighting; you’ll be dazzled by choreographed light and sound shows.

If all else fails then the Monsoon dancers are sure to keep you entertained, dancing on the pods and catwalks these professional dancers perform every trading night and are unique to Monsoon Lagoon.

As if this isn’t enough to make Monsoon the most unique venue in SA then our phenomena’s certainly will. Replicating some of the earth’s unexplainable phenomena’s you’ll have the chance to experience an avalanche, volcano or lightning indoors!! A spectacular show with digital interaction between the big screens, our surround sound and intelligent lighting, will replicate the earth’s phenomena’s, as you’ve never seen them before.

Our massive 4.5 by 5m projection screens will keep you informed of up coming events at Monsoon with clips and pics of previous events in between.

Monsoon prides itself in its professional and well-trained staff, from our in house security to the barmen and hostesses; every staff member has one goal, to make your night as memorable and enjoyable as possible. If you have the honor of becoming a Monsoon VIP guest, you’ll experience red carpet treatment at its best. VIP’s have their own separate luxury lounge with 7 ultra modern booths with their own speaker and volume control. Our hostess will make sure you’re well looked after during the course of the night. The VIP bar is stocked up with international pleasures for all tastes.
